BMW 535i defect alert!

Many concerned and frightened drivers are repeatedly visiting the local BMW service center, complaining about fuel pump failure. This is nothing new–the manufacturer is aware of the problem and has extended the warranty on the part. The extension of the warranty on the part is a nice gesture on the part of the manufacturer, however, it does not address the danger it can potentially put a driver in.

Drivers usually report experiencing a sudden loss of power and even stalling when the car is traveling at high rates of speed (typically above 55 MPH).

This poses a significant and serious danger to the driver and the occupants of the vehicle.

If you sense that you are having problems with your fuel pump, get to an authorized BMW dealership as soon as possible. Make sure that you receive a repair invoice when you pick up the car which clearly outlines the problem you complained about; even if they say the problem is due to bad gas.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP TRACK OF THESE PAPERS. If the problem remains unresolved you will need all your documentation.

The recent safety warning which appeared in the Consumer Reports magazine, is the latest blow to Toyota. The report states that the Lexus GX460 which costs around $50,000, has an unusually high risk of rollovers during terns. According to the magazine, when pushed to the limits on a test track, the rear of the vehicle slid out until it was almost sideways before the electronic stability control was able to take over.

Toyota immediately suspended the sales of the model which has been in the market for only several months, and issued a statement with regards to the manufacturer’s efforts to identify and correct the defect.

In the mean time, consumers who have already purchased or lease the vehicle are reporting that they are not being offered any solid answers. Reports indicate that some Lexus dealers are warning consumers to avoid driving the vehicle. Some dealers are even going to the extent of offering loaners for an indefinite period of time.

Consumers should meticulously keep records of any out-of-service time they have incurred due to this latest development.

This California law covers any vehicle purchase for the entire period of the warranty that is on said vehicle. This lemon law in California does not just cover automobiles, but also trucks, SUVs, vans, boats, recreational vehicles and motorcycles. This particular law has a four year statute of limitations which means you have that long to bring the lawsuit although it is wise to try to resolve the situation as soon as you discover it.

Many people want to know usually who this California law applies to; any consumer who bought or leased a motor vehicle for personal use and not for business. This lemon law covers vehicles that aren’t new as long as they are still under warranty. It’s important to understand all the s stipulations that this law covers because each case might be different so it’s important to have the full scope of this law.

This law is primarily for personal use vehicles and those that are used for recreational purposes as well. The California Lemon Law will cover vehicles used for business if the weight of the vehicle is less than 10,000 pounds. This law stipulates that if a vehicle is under the weight requirement and used for business than that business cannot have more that 5 vehicles registered to it.

The lemon law in California usually applies to “new” vehicles. Though this California law is primarily for vehicles that are new, if the vehicle is under warranty, even if it’s 2 or more years old, it still can qualify. When you are dealing with this law, remember there are stipulations for all different vehicles, for example an automobile vs. a motorcycle.

This law in California has different procedures for the many different vehicles that it covers. When you are dealing with a motor home, you have onset of rules and if you are working with a motorcycle or recreational vehicle, there are whole different rules.

Officially the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, better known as the California Lemon Law, was a huge boost for automobile and vehicle buyers. This law in California states that is a vehicle manufacturer is unable to fix the vehicle you purchased to abide by the warranty, and then they have to give you the purchase price or replace the vehicle with a new one. When you are working with a law like this in California, it’s truly amazing because it states that if you prove you have a lemon vehicle then you can choose if you would prefer your money back or a new replacement vehicle of the same make and model.

The California Lemon Law, if you qualify, will not only make the manufacturer give you your money back or give you a new vehicle, but it will also make them refund the consumer sales tax, license, registration, rental car feels, towing and finance charges. The one expense, under this California law that the consumer may be charged is for vehicle usage which is calculated by using the actual price of the vehicle as the denominator and the exact miles that was used before the problem was discovered as the numerator. When you realize that you probably have a lemon, there are many things that you need to learn about this law.
